Tuition, Grants & Scholarships
Real Life Israel Spring 2012 will run from February 7, 2012 – July 8.
Tuition: $7500 (before Masa grants)
Tuition is before MASA grants and is based on sharing a room in our apartments. Single rooms are available for an additional $1000.
Grants, Scholarships & Funding Your Participation You can already apply for your $3000 universal MASA grant. Many of our participants have received an additional $1500 from MASA since they qualify as "independents." See details in the "Needs Based" section below.
REMEMBER: Jewish Federations, synagogues (brotherhood/sisterhood) and other organizations often have funds earmarked for usage by young adults traveling to Israel. Motivated participants have received additional funding ranging from $500 to $1750 by appealing to Jewish organizations and federations and even family and friends. - In the past, participants from the following communities received generous scholarships towards participation from their Jewish Federations: Boston, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Minneapolis. Other organizations such as Pittsburgh's Agency for Jewish Learning have given grants/scholarships to participants. contact us for more details.
Tuition includes: Hebrew Ulpan, professional internships, program activities, housing throughout the program, room/board at seminars and more. See What You Get.
$1000 Fully Refundable Security Deposit will be added to the tuition payment schedule, to be returned in full to the participants upon successful completion of the program. The security deposit is held in case of damages to the apartment, dismissal from the program as a result of not abiding by basic rules as outlined in our acceptance kit, or leaving the program early (except in extenuating circumstances).
Flight & Single Rooms: Participants are responsible for their flight to Israel. Participants wishing to have their own room in the apartment can do so for a single supplement charge of $1000 which will be added to the tuition.
